The Rochester Grangers at Historic Mackinac Island

The Old Fort Ball Field on Historic Fort Mackinac grounds has been the site for a series of base ball matches featuring the Fort Mackinac Never Sweats and the Rochester Grangers.  The field itself was spectacular, having been used continuously for our national pastime for some 150 years.  Sitting atop the fabled island, it was indeed a lovely venue for base ball. Former Tigers John Hiller and Bill Freehan have played in these matches, and Governor Jennifer Granholm has been seen rooting for the Grangers at this very site!

A total of seven matches have been played so far, with the Grangers victorious in 4 of the 7 games! Below are some pictures of our trips to Mackinac!

          2003   8 - 0 Granger Victory
2004   4 - 3 Mackinac * Hiller Gets the Win!
